The Cormons Wine Producers' Co-Operative Winery was established in 1968. Since then, the winery has become the largest producer in the province of Gorizia, cultivating around 400 hectares. Cormons, which has a strong Austrian Habsburg heritage, is located in the heart of the Gorizia Collio area. Known for its top-quality red and especially white wines, Collio is an expanse of ten hillsides protected by the Giulia Alps to the north and the historically important Isonzo river to the south. Cormons is nestled between Udine and Gorizia in the Friulian-Venezia-Giulia region, near the Slovenian border.
